We took every step from RedotPay's own articles, dated 21 July to 4 September 2026, and read them on 2026-10-21. The advice in the "Which route" section is our view and not RedotPay's.
Route 1: How do I sell USDT on RedotPay P2P?
RedotPay's sell guide (5 August 2026) gives these steps:
- Open the app, tap More, then P2P.
- Tap Sell and choose the stablecoin.
- Pick a buyer's ad. The list shows each buyer's payment methods, payment time limits and conditions.
- Use the Amount tab for the local currency you want to receive, or the Quantity tab for the crypto you want to sell.
- Tap Sell with 0 fees. Wait for the buyer to pay, and use Chat if you need to message them.
- When you are notified, check that the money arrived in your own bank account or wallet, and that the payer's details match what the buyer gave you.
- Tap Confirm payment, then Confirm, and finish two-factor verification to release the crypto.
RedotPay's warning is plain: do not release your crypto until you have confirmed receipt of payment. The article gives no time limits and no fee schedule beyond the "0 fees" label. Before you trade, see our guide to adding a P2P payment method and the name-matching rule.
Can I buy USDT on P2P to fund the card?
The buy guide (5 August 2026) runs the other way. Tap More, then P2P, pick a seller's ad, enter the USDT amount, review the seller's terms and tap Buy with 0 fees, which makes the platform lock the seller's crypto. Tap Get payment details, pay the seller's registered account, then tap Transferred, notify seller. When the seller confirms, the crypto is released to your RedotPay balance. You can cancel before completion with Cancel order.
P2P scam rules from RedotPay
RedotPay's P2P scam article (5 August 2026) lists these rules:
- Confirm the funds reached your bank or wallet before releasing crypto. Do not rely on screenshots or verbal assurances, and do not rely on SMS alerts alone, since they can be faked.
- Make sure the payer's name matches the name verified on RedotPay, and do not accept payments from third-party accounts.
- Do not release crypto for cheque payments or when you suspect fraud, because cheques can be reversed or disputed later.
- Talk and trade only inside the RedotPay P2P market. Do not follow payment instructions sent through Telegram, WhatsApp or social media, and confirm account details in the in-app chat.
- File a dispute right away if you think a transaction is a scam.
Disputes and who is liable
The dispute guidelines (4 September 2026) say a dispute specialist reviews each case. For non-instant payments, an order is canceled if the seller proves non-payment within 6 days, and a buyer with valid video proof gets the order completed. Buyers usually submit video proof of payment, and sellers submit proof of non-payment or of a refund. Confirmed fraudsters lose P2P access permanently, have their ads removed and have their account funds frozen for 60 days. RedotPay also states that it is not liable for P2P trade losses and cannot guarantee recovery of funds, including losses from third-party payments or from an offender whose balance is too low.
Route 2: How do I withdraw on-chain to another wallet or exchange?
RedotPay's withdrawal article (28 July 2026) gives these steps:
- Open the app, go to More, then Withdraw, then Withdraw on-chain.
- Pick the asset and the network, for example USDT on TRC20, and confirm your balance meets the minimum.
- In the destination wallet or exchange, find a deposit address for the same asset and network, and paste it into the address field.
- Tap Withdraw and complete the verification step.
The article does not state the fee, the minimum amount or the processing time, and it does not describe what happens if the asset or network does not match. The only caution is that they must match on both sides. Read the amounts the app shows before you confirm.
Route 3: Can I send crypto to a bank account or e-wallet?
The Send article (22 July 2026) says to tap Send, choose the receiving currency and amount, pick a saved recipient or add one, then review and confirm. It says transfers go to personal accounts and that business accounts are not supported. The payout FAQ (21 July 2026) adds:
- Fees and arrival time depend on the currency and receiving method, and the app shows the fee, the amount the recipient gets and an estimated arrival time before you send.
- Local networks such as Pix, SPEI and SEPA generally add no extra charge. For USD sent by SWIFT, the recipient's bank or an intermediary bank may deduct a handling fee.
- The exchange rate updates in real time and locks when you confirm.
- A processed transfer cannot be canceled. A failed transfer returns the money to your RedotPay balance. If the account does not exist or the details are invalid, the transfer fails. If the account exists but the details were wrong, contact the recipient's bank promptly, because RedotPay cannot reverse funds once they reach a valid account.
Neither article lists the countries where Send is available, and they do not say what to do if the feature is missing from your app. For the naira version of this feature, see our Send Crypto, Receive NGN guide.
Which cash-out route should I use?
This is our view. If you need local cash and P2P is available where you live, selling on P2P is the route RedotPay documents for it, and your protection is your own checking before you release. If you only want to move funds to an exchange or your own wallet, the on-chain withdrawal is the direct route. If Send is available for your country and the recipient is a personal account, it shows its fee and rate before you commit, which makes it easier to compare. Whichever you use, start with a small amount first.
Our own use
Rosa Xie, who runs this site, tops up through local P2P. One top-up took about an hour because the seller was slow to confirm. This guide is about getting money out, which we have not tested ourselves, so it comes from RedotPay's articles and not from our own cash-outs.
What we could not verify
- In which countries P2P and Send are available.
- P2P fees beyond the "0 fees" label, and the payment time limits.
- The on-chain withdrawal fee, minimum and processing time.
- Whether P2P sale proceeds are paid in local currency directly by the buyer to your bank, as the sell steps imply, or pass through a RedotPay balance.
