RedotPay $5 Sign-Up Reward: Can It Pay the Card Fee? (2026)

By CryptoCard Insider (founder: Rosa Xie) · Independent guide · Last updated 2026-10-26 · Disclosure: we may earn a referral reward from RedotPay through the links on this page. Affiliate disclosure

According to RedotPay's help center, the 5 USDs sign-up reward is a welcome bonus for new users. It is valid for 30 days from the date you receive it. It cannot pay the virtual or physical card application fee, and once your card is active it can pay for any online or in-store purchase. You can see the balance and the expiry date in the app by tapping the 5 USD balance on the home screen and then USDⓨ. The article does not say when the reward is credited, what triggers it, or what happens to the balance when it expires.

Issuance tip: RedotPay 20% off promo code RDVIR ($10 to $8 when accepted).

Everything in the first sections comes from RedotPay's article on the sign-up reward (dated 26 July 2026 on the page), which we read on 2026-10-26. Anything marked as our reading is ours. Rewards can change, so check the amount and expiry in the app.

Can the RedotPay $5 reward pay for the card?

QuestionWhat RedotPay's article says
How long is it valid?30 days from the date you receive it
Can it pay the virtual card application fee?No
Can it pay the physical card application fee?No
What can it pay for?Any online or in-store purchase, once your card is active
Where do I check it?Home screen, tap the 5 USD balance, then USDⓨ for the reward details and expiry date

This settles a question that code sites answer in different ways. Some pages claim the credit lowers the 10 USD virtual card fee. RedotPay's own article says the reward cannot pay either card fee, so the application fee has to come from your own balance. Our promo codes page covers the separate codes that reduce the card fee itself.

How do I get the RedotPay $5 sign-up reward?

The article gives no steps for claiming it. It calls the reward a welcome bonus for new users and stops there. It does not name a code, a verification step or a first payment as the trigger.

Sites that list invite codes say you need their code to get the bonus, and they disagree with each other about when the money arrives. We found no RedotPay page that backs this up, so we cannot confirm it. The separate rule that we can source is in RedotPay's referral article (26 July 2026): a referral code must be entered at registration and cannot be added to an existing account. That article does not mention the 5 USDs reward.

How do I check my reward balance and expiry date?

  1. Open the RedotPay app.
  2. On the home screen, tap your 5 USD balance.
  3. Select USDⓨ to see the reward details and the expiry date.

Because the reward lasts 30 days from the day you receive it, the expiry date in the app is the one to trust.

What should I do before the 30 days run out?

This part is our reading of the rules above, not something RedotPay states. The reward cannot pay the card fee, and it can only be spent once the card is active. So the sequence that makes sense is to pay the card fee from your own balance, finish any identity checks, activate the card, and then spend the reward on a normal purchase. If identity verification takes longer than expected, the clock keeps running. Our guide to RedotPay identity verification explains what can slow it down, and the virtual card tutorial walks through the order of steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the RedotPay $5 reward pay the card fee?
No. RedotPay's help center says the 5 USDs sign-up reward cannot be used to pay the virtual or physical card application fee. It can pay for online or in-store purchases once your card is active.
How long is the RedotPay $5 reward valid?
30 days from the date you receive it, according to RedotPay's help center. The app shows the expiry date when you tap the 5 USD balance on the home screen and then USDⓨ.
Do I need a promo code to get the RedotPay $5 reward?
RedotPay's article names no code. Some sites that list invite codes say you need theirs, but we found no RedotPay page that confirms it and cannot say either way.
Can I withdraw the RedotPay $5 reward?
The article does not say that it can be withdrawn or transferred. It only says that, once your card is active, it can pay for any online or in-store purchase.
Is the $5 reward the same as a RedotPay promo code?
They are different things. The reward is a welcome bonus with its own 30-day limit. A promo code such as RDVIR or RDPHY is typed on the card-order screen and changes the card fee. The reward cannot pay that fee.
